Children and savings

Do you remember which bank you opened your first account with? My parents opened my bank account just after I was born. I remember that every week they would give me money which I would put into a piggy bank and once it was full (it was heavy!) we would go to the bank and pay it all into my account. It sounds a bit silly but it helped me learn the importance of saving and the value of money.

At MoraBanc we are aware of the importance of promoting the value of saving and helping children learn how money works. That’s why we have created Junior Account, an account that provides families not only with a fee-free bank account for children, but also with a wide range of benefits to help all members of the family save and learn while having fun.

The account is free, and children receive a welcome gift just for opening the account. What’s more, MoraBanc Júnior account holders will be able to participate in activities specially designed for them and their family, including saving workshops, tickets to events, gifts and other special promotions. And because we understand that the most important thing for parents is the future of their children, we have also prepared savings and protection plans that will allow them to build their children’s future from today.

This more friendly, proactive and fun way of banking required someone that could live up to our younger customers’ expectations. That’s why we created Tina, a little ant that helps the children understand the concepts of banking and saving in a different way while having fun.

And remember, when opening a MoraBanc Júnior account you will receive a small bag so your child can start collecting and keeping their treasures like a little ant!
